Second Harvest Food Bank of East Central Indiana

Second Harvest Food Bank of East Central Indiana was incorporated July 25, 1983 to act as a liaison between the food industry and organizations that feed the ill, needy and children in adequate amounts to allow for a nutritious and balanced diet. Since that time, Second Harvest has grown to distribute nearly 5 million pounds of groceries donated by the food industry in 2005 to 125 charities providing pantries, meals, day care, shelter and other services to the region’s 49,000 people living in poverty and additional low-income households struggling to make ends meet.
