Community Kitchen
The Community Kitchen of Monroe County's mission is "to work, alone and in collaboration with others, to eliminate hunger in Monroe County and surrounding areas, through direct service, education and advocacy." Community Kitchen provides a "free" meal each day, Mon-Sat. from 4 PM to 6 PM to anyone, no questions asked. We also distribute lunches daily to several after-school programs serving low income youth. During the summer we deliver breakfasts to children in low-income housing areas in Bloomington.
